Introduction
Diwali is the festival of lights and sweetness. It is basically a symbol of the victory of good over evil, brightness over darkness, and truth over falsity. The diyas not only make diwali, the festival of lights, but they also symbolize the supremacy and consequence of brightness over darkness. Diya can be defined as a small earthen lamp that is specially lit on diwali for puja and decoration purposes. A cotton wick is used in diyas, and oil or ghee serves as the burning fuel. Diyas are plain and coloured, big and small, simple and fancy, and so. Diwali diyas are major attractions in this festival. Diwali celebrations are incomplete and graceless without the use of diwali diyas. Diyas were, are and will remain significant part of the diwali festival. With the excitement of the festive season in the air and to bring out the creative skills of the students Diya making online competition was held.

Introduction
Floral arrangement, an art of arranging living or dried plant material for adornment of the body or home or as a part of public ceremonies, festivals, and religious rituals. Since the earliest days of civilization, humans have used floral decorations, composed of living or dried cut-plant materials or artificial facsimiles, to embellish their environment and persons. Flowers have played an important part in folk festivals, religious ceremonies, public celebrations of all kinds, and, of course, courtships. Sophisticated cultures have generally expressed a love for decorating with flowers by carefully arranging them in especially chosen containers, while other societies have used them more informally: strewn, made into garlands and wreaths, or casually placed in water-holding vessels without thought of arrangement.
A festival is an occasion of enjoyment and celebration which promotes social interaction and harmony
Children will remember an important day only if they are told what the occasion signifies. So a celebration makes them aware of the world in a more fun way. Celebrating events and festivals in our school has become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief. Such celebrations bring the students closer to each other’s traditions and cultural beliefs and develop respect and understanding for each other’s customs and traditions.
